When in London, visit one of London’s best kept secrets!

The Sky Garden is known as “London’s Highest Public Garden”. It’s the perfect date location for a couple on vacation in London. One of the best things about this place is it is free to visit. All you have to do is book ahead!

The Sky Garden is open from 10am to 6am, Monday - Friday and 11am to 9pm on weekends. Go take your spouse on a great date and enjoy fantastic views like these:

Relationship Tip: Don’t forget to go on dates, even when you are on vacation! If you spend all of your time touring in a city, you might as well spend some of that touring time strengthening your relationship.

Anniversary Inn

If you haven’t been to the Anniversary Inn for a getaway, then you are missing out! There are 3 locations in Utah, which are Logan, and 2 in the Salt Lake valley. There is one location in Boise, Idaho. The Anniversary Inn is the ideal place to celebrate your honeymoon, anniversary, or even just to have some quiet and alone time with your sweetie.  It's a total escape to other countries or your imagination! Plan a little adventure, in the Mysteries of Egypt Suite or the Arabian Night's Suite. These are just to name a few rooms that are available at the Anniversary Inn. Something to consider, each location does have similar rooms, however, they also have different rooms as well.

The prices vary depending on the room that you reserve. The Ruby Suites are $169 per night. The Emerald Suites are $219 per night. The Diamond Suites are $269 per night. During the week, the rooms are $20 less. They have a Romantic Rewards loyalty program, as well as running promotions throughout the year. They even will text you deals when they become available.

To make your stay even a little bit more special, they have a gift shop where you can order little extras for your stay. They have items such as champagne flutes adorned with the Anniversary Inn logo. You can even have them filled with chocolate Hershey Kisses. Speaking of chocolate, you can order a box of gourmet chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries or pretzels. If you want things that smell scrumptious, they have candles, essential oils, and bubble bath bombs. They also have a variety of gift packages, including a couple’s massage. 

If you like blogs, they have that, too! They have a blog that talks about a different room with pictures. It gives you a good idea about what each themed room looks like and its amenities.

Date Night in a Box Series #1- Unbox Love

Are you ever too busy to go on a date or even plan a date? It seems like we all have become so busy that sometimes we simply forget or don't have time to plan! After this. we got to get competitive, who doesn't love a little competition? They sent us Tummple Time A challenging twist on Jenga. And Yes, we did have a little side competition going and I won! The Ongoing Gratitude Date!

When was the last time you thanked your spouse? For making the bed, helping with dishes, watching the children, or working all day? Now is the time to start thanking your spouse a part of your weekly date night. Have a notebook beside your bed or wherever you will remember to write in it. At the end of the day take one minute and write down a reason you are thankful for your spouse. It shouldn’t be the same every day. Sometime during your date night, share a few reason you are thankful for your spouse, and have them do the same. This is also a great time for communication. For example, “I’m grateful you took the kids while I finished dinner, if you could continue to do that when you can I would really appreciate it,” Your spouse can do the same with you. Being grateful shows that you see the good that your spouse is doing and not just seeing where they lack. This activity doesn’t have to be limited to just once a week, however, if you aren’t in the habit of expressing that gratitude, this is a great way to start!

Relationship Reconnection!

Relationships have their ups and downs. It is part of life, and part of the learning experience. How do you view your spouse during easy and difficult times? How well do you handle positive and negative situations with your spouse? Discuss these questions together, and see where improvement can be made together. 

Library Activities- Beyond the Check-out

There is more to do in a library or bookstore besides checking out items. Below are a list of activities to do together that will cost nothing! This can also be done in a bookstore, and while there, grab some drinks or pastries.

1.     Find your favorite book as a child, then read them to each other.

2.     Look through some cookbooks and find a meal you would enjoy making together.

3.     Pick out a joke book and share the best ones with each other.

4.     Choose 3-4 random books. Have a conversation with each other, but only use lines from those books.

Revitalize that Relationship!

Remember that marriage is give and take. Make sure to find time to talk with your spouse about the balance in your relationship. One person should not have to carry the whole load. Discuss the following points with each other:

-What do I do for my spouse on a daily, weekly, monthly basis?

-What does my spouse do for me on a daily, weekly, monthly basis?

-What do I appreciate most about my spouse?

-Ask your spouse, Where can I improve in our relationship?

Fall in Love, with This Questionaire

Okay, so you aren’t really going to fall in love with the questionnaire, but hopefully be more in love with your spouse. A study was done to explore intimacy levels between two strangers. During this study couples had a list of questions to ask and answer. They rated their intimacy level with their fellow participant before and after the questionnaire. Many couples rated their intimacy levels higher after engaging in the questionnaire together. It takes 20-30 minutes to ask each other these questions. It is a great way to spend time together, and get to know each other all over again.
